Off to the Castle, Mates!

Hey everybody,

Tonight (Thursday) was really fun- we did "Curry Night" at J.D. Wetherspoon, where you can get a curry meal and drink for £5.99. Then, we hung out at Lamb and Lion and finished the night doing karaoke at the Metropolitan. Basically, we did a lot of pub-hopping.

When I got back to my flat, my flatmates informed me that both Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett have passed away today (Ed McMahon, as well) - what sad news!! Whether you supported MJ or not in all of the media messes, you can't deny that he was the king of pop. I want to play Billie Jean and do the moonwalk as a dedication.

In happier news, tomorrow, my creative writing class is leaving to take a field trip on the English/Welsh border for a writer's retreat. We're actually staying in a castle while we're there, with a real moat and everything! I'm so excited :) We'll be doing a lot of hiking, eating Wimbledon-esque food, vising Tintern Abbey (Wordsworth, anyone?), and...well..writing.

We're just staying for one night, so I'll be back in Bath on Saturday :)
