Oh man, so much to write about. Where to begin? I will just list the highlights of my day:
Things MLR people will enjoy:
-the buses honk twice before backing out of a parking spot
Other things I have enjoyed:
-having a "drop of tea" on the plane, as well as red wine with my meal
-listening to Halo twice on the flight
-forgetting that they're SUPPOSED to drive on the left side and having a minor freak-out
-meeting a guy at a pharmacy whose surname is also Key
-going to my first British pub- "Lamb and Lion" and drinking a pint of BlackThorn Dry Cider...turns out a pint is plenty
-learning that I'm not in Bath I'm in Bahhhth (Bawwwth?...you get the idea)
-grocery shopping
-the fact that you can walk EVERYWHERE here
-meeting one girl my age and coincidentally sitting right across the aisle from her on my flight
-getting complimentary brown eggs in the refrigerator and chocolates galore
-living in a house from the 1700s w/ beautiful embellished trims on the ceilings, sculptures, beautiful shelves, etc.
My First British Conversations:
Guy Working at Heathrow Airport at the UK Border: Have you ever been to England before?
Me: No
Guy: I figured. You're so....happy.
Guy #2 Who DOESN'T Work in the Airport to Me: Excuse me but you look a bit lost
More to come!
Love, Kelly
