"I'll Take You to the Cleaners"

Today, Tuesday (It's currently 1 a.m, so the blog will annoyingly say it's Wednesday...), I did something new. I went to a British laundromat! If you just so happened to take a gander at my last post, you'll remember that our washing machine went kah-put recently, so we Linley girls had to bite the bullet and brave the streets, dirty laundry in tow. I'm sure we were quite a sight, really, as the 7 of us crossed bridges and streets w/ our mesh bags (or, in my case an Apricot clothing store bag) full of a week's worth of jeans soiled w/ English dirt. But hey, it was fun, and who else can say they've experienced putting British coins into washing machines? There you have it.

My flatmates Kirby and Diane cooked dinner for me tonight, after our laundry expedition- lemon chicken, potatoes, and broccoli. I must admit, I felt pretty spoiled. The lemon chicken was delicious! I suppose I've been getting paninis and pasties from the local Cornish Bakeshop a bit too much lately.

In other news...I printed out my boarding pass for Dublin! The countdown is now down to - 2 DAYS! So exciting. We're already looking into daily excursions, and my flatmate Danielle found one were you can follow the route from the movie P.S. I Love You (I LOVE that movie)!! Sounds like fun to me! We're starting to get really excited about the long weekend in Ireland. I was thirteen years-old the last time Dad, Grandma, and I went there, and I'm ready to go back! It'll be interesting to compare and contrast pre-teen, Judy Blume-reading Ireland-vacationing Kelly to Guiness-drinking, solo-flying, Ireland-vacationing Kelly. I'll be sure to post what I discover. :)

Pip Pip Cheerio and Pleasant Dreams!

Love,

Kelly
